How To Be Saved A. ADMITAgree with God when He says that you are a sinner. · In Romans 3:23, God says: “All have sinned, and have come short of the glory of God”. · The word “All” includes YOU! Salvation is for sinners! · In Luke 5:32, Jesus Christ declared: “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance”. B. BELIEVEBelieve the Gospel of Jesus Christ. · The Gospel is the “Good News” recorded in the Bible of how God sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to save (rescue or deliver) sinners! · The apostle Paul testifies in Romans 1:16 – “I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes...” · It is also recorded in 1 Timothy 1:15 – “It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners...” · The Bible makes it abundantly clear that no one can be saved by any good works that he or she has done. Faith in Jesus Christ alone is what saves us from sin. It is recorded in Titus 3:5 – “He saved us, not on the basis of deed which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy...” C. COMEJesus Christ invites you to come to Him in faith. If you do, He will save you! · Look at what it says in Isaiah 1:18 – “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.” · In responding to His invitation, bear three important things in mind: 1. Sin is the thing that prevents people from enjoying peace with God. 2. Jesus came to remove that barrier of sin, and make it possible for us sinners, to enjoy His forgiveness forever! 3. The Bible declares that Jesus is the only one who can save. He is the only one who can forgive all your sins. Acts 4:12 states: “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” Friend, It is God's desire to save you from the awful penalty of sin. Are you willing to accept His offer of grace today by taking these three simple steps of faith? If so, why not take a moment to speak to Him in prayer right now? He will hear you and will save you the second you ask, but you must be sincere. Here is a sample of the kind of prayer you should pray: “Dear God, I ADMIT that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. Please have mercy upon me and save me today. I BELIEVE You sent Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die for me on the cross of Calvary, and that His blood can cleanse me of all sin. I COME to You now in faith, and ask Your forgiveness and cleansing. Thank you dear God for hearing and answering my prayer, for I pray in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. Amen.” Did you pray this prayer? If so, congratulations on your decision to follow Christ!
