Golden Eagles
Scriptures supporting and forming the Golden Eagles Minsitry are
Leviticus 19:32, Isaiah 46:4, Acts 6:1-7, I Corinthians 12:12-27, Titus 2:1-5, Hebrews 10:24-25, and I John 3:16-18.
A SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY OF GERMANTOWN CHRISTIAN ASSEMBLY
The Golden Eagles serves the elderly at Germantown Christian Assembly and community. Its main goal is to obey God’s commandment to honor and respect our seniors in the fear of the Lord (Leviticus 19:32). To do this, the Golden Eagles has formed coordinators and volunteers who are committed to minister to the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of our seniors. The Golden Eagles Luncheon is usually held at 11:00 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month in the Missions House. Bible Study and Prayer Meetings are held at the same time and place on all other Wednesdays of the month.
THE PURPOSE/MISSION STATEMENT FOR THE GOLDEN EAGLES
The Golden Eagles, a Senior Adult Ministry of Germantown Christian Assembly, organized to address the concern of the aging population of GCA and its surrounding community through an on-going ministry that will involve the whole church ministering to Senior Adults. It is concerned with—

The development of effective ministries, programs, and support systems that will promote the Christian faith and meet the spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional needs of our aging members.
- Promoting the awareness, honor and recognition of the aging members of our congregation.
- Playing an active role in advocating for the rights of our aging members through the networking and coordinating work of other organizations that share common concerns.
- Meeting the needs of the aging population of GCA (50 years or older). First consideration shall be given to those who are sixty years and over, and/or to those under sixty years of age that are disabled, handicapped, in poor health, or who lack basic surviving services or care.
- But not limited to, the undertaking of the development and sponsoring of Medical Coverage and Health Care, Transportation, Home Visits, Financial Counseling, Housing, Home Repairs, Luncheon Committee, Mercy workers, Home Care, Buddy Ministry.
