People have a basic need and desire to be loved and wanted, to be accepted and appreciated, and to belong to a community. Our caring ministries expresses love and concern for all of God’s people.

  • Nursing Home
    To minister the love of Christ to patients at Ivy Hill and Fairview nursing homes.
  • Scrapbooking and Crocheting
    To encourage fellowship among members who share an interest in scrapbooking and crocheting.
  • Bereavement
    Provide a compassionate and efficient means of supporting the bereaved in the planning and execution of services.
  • Christmas Card Exchange
    Coordinate the distribution of Christmas cards to GCA members.
  • Golden Eagles
    To address the concerns of the aging population of GCA and its surrounding community through programs and support systems that will promote the Christian faith and meet the spiritual, physical, psychological, and emotional needs of our aging members.
  • Hospitality & Culinary
    Sunday Morning Refreshments – provide refreshments for Adult Sunday School and special events.
  • Nursery
    To teach children the Bible and how to worship God while their parents worship in the main service.
  • Visitation
    To visit sick and shut-in members for prayer and encouragement.
  • Ladies Fellowship
    Greeters – To greet and welcome members and visitors at services, funerals, and special events. Lobby Desk – To provide information and guidance regarding service, classes and special events to members and guests.
  • Children’s Church
    To help children grades K-7 grow in their understanding of God and worship by teaching them on their level while their parents worship in the main service.
